Con motivo de la celebración del día mundial para la abolición de la pena capital, el pasado 10 de octubre se desarrollaron diversas actividades a lo largo de todo el globo dirigidas a visibilizar la crueldad de esta pena inhumana. Pese a esta y otras iniciativas -tanto de gobiernos como de organizaciones no gubernamentales- dirigidas a conseguir la abolición universal de la pena de muerte, lo cierto es que, a día de hoy, aún se siguen ejecutando a personas en diferentes países.
