On the occasion of the celebration of the World Day for the Abolition of Capital Punishment, on October 10, various activities were carried out throughout the globe aimed at making visible the cruelty of this inhuman punishment. Despite this and other initiatives - both by governments and non-governmental organizations - aimed at achieving the universal abolition of the death penalty, the truth is that, to this day, people are still being executed in different countries.
